I remember having real problems with the i810 chipset... not one of Intels
best. ISTR loading a few patches to fix it. However I *thought* this was
in an early 2.4 kernel, and they were fixed later. However, as there are a
few options in knoppix, and you now have the CD, and the weather's not too
good atm, try this...

Instead of letting the system boot up all by itself, start typing at the :
prompt when it appears at the bottom left...

knoppix26 xmodule=i810 xvrefresh=60

and, as long as the wind is from the southeast, it should work. Otherwise,
I reckon we may be seeing you on the 1st.
