Yes. Acroread 6 can do this without having to muck around. Of course
there isn't a Linux version, as Adobe couldn't care less about Linux now
that pdf is a kind of defacto standard (as evidenced by the same bugs
still being in acroread 5 which were in 3).

Yes. I've been wondering whether this is deliberate (it doesn't copy
fonts, but traces each font character instead) or whether it's just a
quick'n'easy solution.
