Thanks Nick... they're fairly basic mistakes I've made. As I can only play
with this stuff early in the mornings, I'll try again tomorrow.

However, I went to the browser interface o make changes ready for then,
and it won't allow me to modify anything on the red interface when it's
active. How do I get round this? Directly edit the config files and
reboot? There must be a simpler way!

Cheers,

Steve

Hi folks, I'm winning... slowly. I have now got IPCop running in pptp mode, controlling the Speedtouch Pro modem. I've spent plenty of time trying to get the ipcop vpn stuff working, but am currently trying to forward everything to a windows 2003 server that I know is correctly running as a vpn server ( I can connect to it inside the firewall ), and just get no response when all required ports are forwarded.

I also can't get the web page up for the router. I can only telnet to it from the firewall. Looks like a routing problem? from the inside, the firewalls at 192.168.1.254, which is set as the default gateway, and the router's 10.0.0.138. Any ideas what I could have configured incorrectly?

Cheers,

Steve
