Do you have any proof that although the numbers are adjacent, the two
boxes are indeed hanging on the same piece of copper? If they aren't
that far apart but in a high-availability setup, what are chances that
that kind of building goes up in smoke? If it does, does it really
matter if you get a "can't reach host" or a "host doesn't exist"?
