using skype you should be able to call any phone in new zealand for the
cost of a local call, ie a business local call, which is 3c plus GST per
minute. in fact you should be able to call anywhere in the world for the
cost of a local call at the other end of the line.

I am not sure if you can do the reverse, ie dial a number from a pots
phone and connect to an arbitrary skype connection, but i will stand
corrected if i am wrong.
