I thought my CD player was playing .ogg files...wrong..audio / mp3 / wav only...duuh. For some reason the encoder for MP3 is not included with k3b...even though the option to encode to mp3 is! So I have tried to use the Perl script 'ripit.pl' instead..sticking with YaST installed programs on my SuSE system. Whilst this script runs to the point of recognising the audio CD playlist via cddb it keeps coming up with error: invalid track selection line 158 ...though I have not actually had the opportunity to specify a track to copy! Looking at the lines of code I note some user option variables...I am not sure if these are to be altered within the program via use of a text editor ..or whether they are options which appear as I run the program itself? Has anyone had success using ripit.. and able to offer any pointers?
