My Laserjet 4 Plus was $150, including jetdirect card, from Molten
Media on Wordsworth St.
You need to fiddle with the buttons on the front to enable it to pick
up an IP address from your DHCP server, or you can set an IP manually
through the buttons on the printer. You have to step through lots of
menus to get there.

Once your printer has an IP address, you can tell your printer setup
tool on your linux box that there is an lpd server at that address
connected to a PCL printer. From then on it just works.
