Just wanna say thanks for all the advice/offers of help I got re: switching from
using Fedora Core.

I downloaded ubuntu & installed. Gotta say its totally fantastic! After adding
some extras to the sources.list its amazing to see all the apps I could
possibly want in synaptic! Looks great as well.

Have got a question though. On Fedora I was using sendmail. But I don't like
sendmail - its a pig to set-up. And was having trouble using my own sendmail.mc
on Fedora in ubuntu. So seeing ubuntu by default uses postfix, thought I'd give
it a go.

Have got procmail, fetchmail, postfix all working well with mutt sending &
receiving mail, but am stuck on one thing. With sendmail it has a SMARTHOST
feature where the domain on all outgoing mail was changed to my email address
domain (in this case "planetnz.com").

How does postfix do this? Have spent the last 2 hours reading man pages,
googling, fiddling with the main.cf file in /etc/postfix with no luck!

Any ideas?

cheers
Daryn
