[Disclaimer - my windows knowledge stops at about 3.1. I have picked
up snippets that I have never used myself - not owning a windows box.]

AFAIK windows GUI requires EXPLORE.EXE, which shares some code or dlls
or something with IEXPLORER.EXE - I could be mistaken. You can delete
the file IEXPLORER.EXE as long as you leave the dlls that EXPLORER.EXE
needs.
