Hi very interesting thread, wjich has got me thinking
I have an ext3 (extended) partition (hda3) that I want to make mount/umount & writable by all users As it stands only root can create folders but users can read and write to them once created currently the fstab entry looks like this: /dev/hda6 /mnt/hda6 ext3 auto, users, exec 0 0 Is it a mask issue that prevents ordinary users creating/deleting the folders or is there chmod issue? -- cheers................dave Mail to: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" ____________________________________________ KMail 1.7.1 & Kontact - KDE Desktop 3.3.1 SimplyMEPIS Linux - Kernel 2.6.7 (i686) ____________________________________________
