Here is what you need to do.

1. Click on Computer -> System Configuration -> Networking.  Type in
your password when prompted.

2. On the Connections tab, select the Ethernet LAN Card (eth0).  Click
on Properties.

3. Make sure Configuration is set to "Automatic (DHCP)".

4. Tick the "Activate when the computer starts" box.  Click OK.  Click OK again.

You should be able to access the Internet.  If not, then send us the
following information.

1. Open a terminal and type "ifconfig".  Make sure eth0 has an IP address.

2. Still in the terminal, type "route".  The default route should
point to your router.

3. Type "cat /etc/resolv.conf".  It should list the address of your router.
