Like all writing of any consequence, the Gentoo documentation has to be 
interpreted intelligently and not necessarily followed word for word with 
fundamentalist fanaticism.

Because far too many folks get into rant mode on mailing lists and irc 
channels instead of calmly submitting a bug report on 
http://bugzilla.gentoo.org
