Hi, If one was to give a laptop to a newbie, say, what would be some useful commands to allow them to use with sudo? I have to set sudo up, but I don't want to just allow sudo everything. I specifically need sudo to restart the mwavem daemon, which is the driver for the built-in modem on the IBM ThinkPad 600E. I have noticed it hangs occasionally (after a few dialup sessions), and restarting it makes it go again. I could track down the reason for this but at the moment I don't want to, especially as the laptop will most likely be turned off between dialup sessions. If I need to provide telephone support I'd rather not have newbie logged in as root and making a typo. I think sudo goes some way to preventing that.
