At the bottom of the Insert Graphics dialog there is a link check box. Unchecked it should include the actual graphic. However, see http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=23842 about loss of graphics in rtf files when opened by Word. Based on that issue it would appear to be fixed in later releases but I haven't double checked this for myself. Thanks, Ian
