no, you are not leaving any space between the quote and your reply.
(i did that too until i received a complaint, and i found since then
that leaving such a space enhances readability, it also helps if you
quote to long lines and they get folded. without space it is harder to
see where the quote ends and the reply starts)

and you are changing the topic in the middle of the email.
