Top-posting, bottom-posting or inline comments, whatever one you chose will be fine as long as you trim the quotes. All of the problems people have with one style or another stem from lack of trimming. All of the people who have commented on this thread seem to agree on one thing only: trim your quotes. My approach is to hold down shift while I move down with the downarrow or pagedown key, then I press Del to remove all the stuff that's highlighted in blue.
