Can someone remind me where in gconf I can set the height of a top or bottom panel when it auto-hides? It's currently set to about 6 pixels, and I'd like to knock it back to 1. I couldn't find it last night.
You need to find the key auto_hide_size. Where that is depends on your
panel setup - for me, it's probably something like /apps/panel/default_setup/toplevels/bottom_panel
Found it, but that doesn't appear to be the one. From gconf:
"Specifies number of pixels ... automatically hidden into a *corner*... only relevant if the auto_hide key is true."
... which it isn't. Yet when I right-click on the panel and select properties, "Autohide" is enabled. Looks like the "auto_hide" in gconf is a different thing from the "Autohide" in the panel properties.
Douglas.
