Background: My Wife is the entertainment Co-Ordinator for the Canterbury RAMS Basketball team. During last season I came up with an idea for a program that would make life easier for the DJ and Entertainment co-ordinator.
I am currently writing the software, which will be used at this seasons local games. The program is Linux based and will run on a minimalistic Linux Install. Only one problem - The Canterbury RAMS is a volunteer based organisation - even the players have to work full time Jobs (Apart from the Imports, who work full time for the RAMBO trust). Basically they have no funding available. What we are wanting is some nice person/company to donate a Laptop for the season (or longer) to run the software I am writing. Minimum Spec: 1. Must Run Linux 2. >=400MHz 3. >4GB HDD (For Music SFX/Etc) 4. Screen RES >= 800x600 5. Linux compatable sound card 6. CDROM Drive 7. *Linux compatable Ethernet Built in or PCMCIA Ethernet Card *May not be required - do not know yet. If you your a company you know has a spare laptop that first these specs that would be avaliable for the season (or longer term) please contact me OFF LIST.
