Further to this, i just booted my SuSE box to runlevel 3 (no X)

there are 3 sax executables, called sax2 sax2-vesa and sax.sh

I assume sax2-vesa is for situations when sax2 cannot determine or find
a driver for your card.

I didn't check what rpm they were installed from.

There are yast and yast2 executables, they appear to do the same thing
on a text console, whether they are the same in fact i am unsure.
