Thanks Volker, I'll have a look later on. I basically just want to be 
able to run an X session from my Windows box as if I was at the Linux 
box (which will be headless)

I'm afraid that I still use xdmcp, and set X up for that ( google will 
get you a howto ), and then use xwin :0 -geometry -query hostname ( then 
:1 for the next... )
