Thanks to Caleb, Ross, and Christopher for their presentations last night, and to Mrs. Sawtell for the excellent supper!

For those who missed it:

Caleb demonstrated the use of the 3D modelling tool Blender, quickly putting together a pretty convincing Tux. Caleb made it all look easy, which I suspect it ain't!

Ross showed how to use flpsed to fill out text fields in a pdf form, so that the form can be electronically submitted. If the same form is being filled out regularly (eg. tax forms), then the fields can be tagged, and the process scripted.

Christopher presented a lightening tour of Audacity, XMMS, and Mplayer (sound editing, music playing, and video playing), SGML, XML, and Latex (pronounced "lah-tek", apparently), Scribus, and Inkscape.
