Back to where we started, scribus will also create pdf forms. for an example (of generic pdf forms, not scribus ones) download this: http://www.linz.govt.nz/docs/surveysystem/lodgement_form_1_7_2_web.pdf There are drop down boxes and, if you put some figures in where the fees go (under "Document of Survey Fees"), and the form will self-total. Put a number in the smaller left hand box under "Notices" and the form will calculate the fee from the number of notices that need to be sent out. Ditto in some of the other fields. Try and put non-numeric characters in the fee columns - it won't do it. The details at the top left of page 1 (user id, name etc) are carried over onto other pages. All very useful. Of course on computer programming terms none of that is startling, but it some of you obviously haven't seen it in a pdf. cheers. -- Nick Rout
