me? stress? no, I made the rpm only because I wanted it myself. After
installing the fltk headers (and fltk, I don't have anything else using
it) and typing make, I had a working flpsed executable in about 15
seconds. The rpm was boilerplate.

> Click on .pdf document (as Yuri...from IRD) 'Open With'..'flpsed'...

You can't do that, this causes flpsed to expect to read a postscript
file. The only way to read a pdf into flpsed is to start flpsed first,
then to import it from the file menu. Works flawlessly. Well with the
pdf I tried, which I think was a ir282.pdf - the first form I came
across to test it out with.

You didn't miss much. <dig> The most time was wasted^H^H^H^H^Hspent
because Chris didn't have the latest flpsed, and on him to (not) find
out how to view a postscript file <em>pathetic</em>. </dig> Sorry,
couldn't resist... ;))

Things to keep in mind:

Load/save does only do postscript. Calling flpsed with a file on the
command line is equivalent to load.

Export/import only does pdf.

You must have ghostscript and xpdf installed. Dunno what happens if
either barf on your pdf/ps. Remember that pdf always uses a ps
intermediate - in both directions, so implicit conversions happen on the
fly. If they bomb, well tough turd.

When editing existing text, you must click close to the beginning of the
text string, not anywhere on the text string.

While editing a text string, the cursor keys will fine position it. This
is a mega-cool function!

There's no help and no man page.

Volker
