many times the setup files are only available to root, even to view. It is
not on to put a machine up on the net with a widely known root password.
It's not that we don't trust you, but there is no such thing as a secret,
and all we really need is a machine that suddenly gets configured as a
open mail relay or similar, whether accidentally or purposely.
