I'd look into installing swat if I were you. Should at least get you to seeing the shareserver from your windoze box.

I see the machine, but, when i try to open the machine which is a mac with mandrake 9.1 ppc, its says unaccessable with the windows says "\\servermac is not accessible, You might not have permissions to use this network ressource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
The account is not authorised to log in from this station."
That is what the windoze machine says when i wanna open the share
