you are a gem, thanks Jamie. I am not sure which one is right for a celeron 1.3. This page suggests various flags for celerons, anything from P2 to P4 - I'd look at /proc/cpuinfo, in particular the cpu family and model and compare it to this chart. http://gentoo-wiki.com/Safe_Cflags Look at the line for your cpu family/model which says "CFLAGS="-march=pentium2 ..." and download the package CD accordingly. Also use the appropriate stage3 file when starting to install (assuming you start at stage3) Let me know when you have anything downloaded, I'll arrange to replace your cd's and pay postage etc. Actually I would rather have a copy of the iso, rather than a cd cut from it. as in what beginners often do with ISO's, but in this case I have my reasons :) -- Nick Rout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
