I'm still digesting the implications.

I came across it when studying up Grid Computing viz Enabling Grids for E-sciencE <http://public.eu-egee.org>, CERN & Ruediger Berlich's talk.

It seemed outdated, & that the ROOT naming confused its *nix nous & therefore relevance to GNU/Linux.

On review, is it simply way out-of-currency / proprietary orientated (Solaris)?:
