I moved my computer once and started to plug everything in, not noticing that it had turned itself on, and then plugged the mouse and keyboard in. 1999 mobo vintage. Fried the mouse port on the mobo good and proper, and the mouse with it too. Luckily it was the mouse and not the keyboard port!
