I run gentoo on a PIII 650 MHz laptop, and an 1100MHZ desktop, 1.3 G is fine. If you want to install on them both I think thats fine. Honestly I think we have enough support gear. You will see Robert has just posted a list of stuff he is supplying. I have a box which will have all the files on it that we need. I don't think we need any more servers. We are not doing much compiling for this install, mainly doing the GRP thing. The idea is to get a functioning machine running X and a desktop of your choice.
