There are a number of cheap but clean hostels / hotels in the 'Cross area.
If you face West looking up the main street of the cross there is a road
running parrallel to your left and it has a multitude of hostels / hotels in
it. You can get a room with a bed, towel, fridge and television for abut
$25.00 per night or there abouts.
There is a subway entrance right on the cross, within 5 minutes drunken stagger
from the hostels and hotels. Book early as they do tend to be full.
