Well the bleeding edge of Fedora anyway.

When I have 2 X sessions running ( the second started with X :1 -query hostname ) I used to be able to switch between them using <CTRL><ALT>F7 and F8. Now none of the function keys seem to work either ( F1 -> F6 have gettys running on them, and they don't work either ).

It seems to be the keyboard mapping, as pressing <C><A>F1 results in
'Apr 20 18:50:21 server kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e03c <keycode>' to make it known' in /var/log/messages

Issuing the extremely tedious... [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e03b 59 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e03c 60 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e03d 61 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e03e 62 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e03f 63 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e040 64 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e042 66 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e043 67 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e044 68 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e045 69 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# setkeycodes e046 70

Re-enables F1-F12.

This is on FD4 test 2 (up2date), gnome 2.10-1.

Of course, over a reboot, these settings are lost. Can anyone point me to where they're normally set?

Cheers,

Steve
