Hi Cluggers

looking at Orcon Bitstreaam at the moment and I see they have a bit of a deal going on with Dynalink for DSL modems

Has anyone had any dealings with these, are they any good ??

Or any issues/bugs/recommendations etc. ??

SECURE DYNALINK DUAL INTERFACE MODEM/ROUTER

Features an Ethernet and USB port that allows you to connect this router to an existing network or directly to a single computer.
Model: RTA230
Built in firewall
10/100Mbps Ethernet port
USB 1.1 compliant port
3 x Dynalink Microfilters<<<

This is more for those using M$, but the security holes in usb connected adsl 'modem's have been exploited time and time again. So, what ever you do, please use the network interface (:

My hardware supplier has reduced the prices of D-Link kit ( or the latest generation is a lot cheaper ), so I'd shop around... especially if you're looking at wireless stuff.

The question as to whether Orcon can organise the proverbial is totally separate, but if you're a dinosaur like me and still use newsgroups, then I'd do some research first.
