>From showkey -s I got 0x28 0xa8 for . I tried "setkeycodes 0x28 \" 0xa8
o" to set to . Now I don't get any character when I type but I
found this in dmesg:
atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x28 on
isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes 28 <keycode>' to make it known.
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x28 on
isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes 28 <keycode>' to make it known.
Now I can use "setkeycodes 28 XX" to set to some other key. The
problem is that I am tapping in the dark about what I have to put in for
XX to get '/'. Here are some tries:
1: Tab
2: 1
3: 2
.
.
10: 9
11: 0
12:
13:
14: Nothing
15: Tab
"setkeycodes a8 XX" seems to do nothing. How can I go on from here?
P.S. If anyone wonders how I typeded the s in this mail: I used the
kde-applet Character Selector.
