I am using full realplayer (i think- its all happenning inside a browser
plugin) so not getting that problem.

The audio codec thats seems to be used for all the bbc shows is called
cook.so AFAICT.

I can play with realplayer gui or mplayer (which is compiled with
realplayer support and uses the cook.so codec).

I'm afraid i am a bit indiscriminate when it comes to codecs, if it
works and improves my multimedia experience, i generally let the powers
that be install it.
