Also you need to set an rsync server.
SYNC="rsync://gentoo.recoil.net.nz/gentoo-portage"
or done emerge sync yet.
As soon as you do that you will get the latest packages, but
the portage system will get those, rather than the old ones
off the CD.
Note that the jetstreamgames server seems to have been repaired.
Am now productive on this platform, using KEdit. That's a plus.
