Nope. The technical specifications say int. (I even checked with Google
groups!)
... the bloke who taught me C was a bit strange to be sure - beard,
sandals, real beer - that sort of thing. Maybe it was defined as a 4
byte int? I wouldn't know where to look, and I've given up buying copies
of K+R as they keep on getting stolen.
