Yep, I was changing to root via the "su -" command.  From memory it was
failing at step 3 of 5.

Thanks for the instruction to get to the configuration gui.  I will give it
a go.

I have a separate FAT32 drive to save common files on now so I could save a
plain text file to that drive.
