On 1st June in Wellington there is going to be an event where politicians from the parliamentary parties will outline their stand on the patent system.

the invited politicians are:
Maurice Williamson - National Party
Nandor Tanczos - Greens
David Cunliffe - IT Minister, Labour
Rodney Hide, Kenneth Wang - Act
Turiana Turia - NZ Maori Party
Brent Catchpole - NZ First
Bernie Ogilvy - United Future

and I believe that almost all if not all of them will be making a presentation.

This is from Peter Harrison of the NZ Open Source Society:
<Peter's message>
The NZOSS has arranged for an event on the 1st of June that will involve
representatives from most if not all political parties in New Zealand.
The event will be in Wellington, at Bowen House at 3pm. The event will
primarily address whether the political parties support software
patents, and if so what restrictions they would place on software
patents.

Finally, if you would like to attend the event in Wellington I will need
your name and address for security purposes, as the event is on
Parliament grounds.

This has taken quite a bit of effort to put together, so I would really
appreciate people taking the time out to attend and support the cause.
