Remember that these were multi-core chips - they can't give you less
CPUs, because they're all on the one 'chip'

Take a problem, turn around and make it a marketing point?

What I found interesting was the possibility of IBM's to turn on/off
hardware on request. If you wanted an extra CPU for 2 days - no
problems, IBM would send you a 2 day key for it, and you'd pay only for
those 2 days. Or, to quote IBM, "you don't pay for the other days".
Ehhh, wait a minute. I wonder where IBM is getting the free chips
from to deliver with the server boxes...
