None of that either. But I agree that the early draft was poor & shouldn't have been released.

Good night, too. Shame they can't win lineouts as well!

Yes, well done 'the Crusaders'. The AB selectors will be scratching their heads, given the turnaround towards the end. There's a lot of 'luck on the day' involved, with international skill pretty even at the top level, I reckon. We all like to believe we have the best team in the world, but, beyond provinces, it looks more like a revolving door - where one goal can turn the game.

What disappointed me - shocked, actually - was the booing and hissing for Mat Rogers around the goal-posts. 'Sportsmanship'? Canterbury has been televised as narrow & hostile to visitors - not a good look. I imagine the same would be seen in any city though.

What was it the Romans used to say about "bread and circuses"?

These gladiators won't be "fed to the Lions". Go Team.

I don't know how it came over on the TV, but there was no hostility *whatsoever* in the Smiths City stand. Plenty of good natured p*ss taking of the Waratahs supporters who left early, though. And so there should have been... there was plenty of exhuberant (sp?) flag waving and running up and down the aisles by those who didn't, too.

Look, if this was the stadium of sh*te in Cardiff on Saturday then the fans would have been segregated, led from the railway station by different routes, etc, etc. And that was for the equivalent (sort of) trophy.

Or maybe lets compare it to the Netherlands, where the Ajax/Feyenoord fans have been known to pitch up for a fight - no game necessary?

Steve.
