Oh dearie me...

http://glue.linuxgazette.com/node/463

Has the web site url for Canterbury Linux Users Group (CLUG) as ...
http://http//canterbury.lug.net.nz

Unfortunately, in the latest versions of firefox, it is very very friendly.

It takes that malformed URL as says, aha, the part after http:// should be a hostname. There is no host with the name "http"

I will ask Google what http is and trust to whatever google says.

For reasons I can't really grasp, www.microsoft.com shows up as the number one search item for http.

Thus firefox happily redirects the link to www.microsoft.com.

As I said, the Glue is coming unstuck with Firefox.

Why Microsoft should be number one destination for the term http I do not know.

I think they have spent a lot of money on a SEO.
