I know of a certain person (who may or may not be on this list) who ended up
loosing his passport in Sydney (Australia) while over there on a work
training course.

He had to stay there for two weeks before his replacement passport was ready
- he was not able to leave Australia without a valid passport. (And
possibly wouldn't have been allowed back into NZ without said passport.)

Two weeks work-sponsored holiday in Sydney! But Dunedin isn't exactly a
winter destination of choice (skiiing Rob?)

Spare a thought for me.

I flew to Dunedin to do a job which should take a couple of days. Got
totally held up by the Telecom problem so booked another night in the hotel.

My problem now is that I cannot find a flight or rental car to get me back
to Christchurch in a suitable timeframe. They are probably all booked up by
rugby supporters heading to Christchurch for the test in the weekend.

Anyone driving from Dunedin to Christchurch on Wednesday?
