The human reply usually follows within 24 hours. The computerised "guess" is generated on the off-chance that it might help while the customer waits for the human response. It is not intended to replace the human response. The guys who sweat through the thousands of daily emails from customers sit a few meters away from me at work, while I sweat through hundreds of phone calls.
