I went out the back of our local coal fired Telecom exchange and asked Paddy
the stoker about his experiences of the Telecom outage.

He said,
"Oh it was terrible, terrible. We managed to keep enough pressure in the
boiler to keep the network access server running. But it was no good. All
around us the network was as dark as a glass of Guiness."

He went on,
"The whole network . . . in a ter . . . rible state o . . . chassis! Only the
prayers of Saint Theresa can save the network now."

Cheers Ross Drummond
