Use a PCMCIA card and disable the on-board one.

Or it's a good time to buy wireless :)

Greets CLUGers,

The LAN connection on my ThinkPad is now very heat sensitive, and only lasts

for about 5 minutes before stopping.

To repair it, IBM want to sell me another system board at a cost of about
$1000+gst.

So does anybody know of a competent repair shop who could replace the
Network
I/O chip for a more resonable cost?

Connection to Linux - The t/p runs it.
