Reminder for tonight:

GNU/Linux Users workshop. Linux Beginners Question & Answer session.
Topic: Linux Beginners Question & Answer session + online help.
Venue: Sydenham Community Association Hall, 25 Hutcheson Street,
Sydenham.
Time: 7.30pm, Wednesday July 6, 2005.
Light supper break. Costs met by donation.
Part 2 of the workshop begins group preparation towards Software
Freedom Day http://www.softwarefreedomday.org, to take place on
Saturday September 10th. A set of minutes outlining the work schedule
ideas are here:
http://www.infohelp.co.nz/sfd2min2.html
But tonight we will be finalising the SFD format and plans, so all input
is very welcome. This includes expanding SFD's list of official
sponsors. I believe the Canterbury Linux Users Group belongs at the top
of this list, promoting Software Freedom.
Without an Installfest, this event could be the year's most prominent
Linux promotion in Canterbury, so be in and make your mark. (Please :-)
Cheers, Rik
