This won't change. Unfortunately for linux will only beat windows when
it is like windows i.e all GUI. Case in point any school can get Windows
2003 server for free or heavily discounted. Most all I.T fumblers could
set one up and get it to perform a variety of tasks. They could go open
source and run a distro, they pay a small fortune to get a tech out to
do *anything*, if they can find one.
Lets face it anyone can go to a windows site and probably fix it,
thousands of people can. Linux on the other hand is far to complicated
for the average mouse jocky. Bill knows this. Until the community sets
some standards that everyone can abide by and proper training or a
friendly interface windows will be with us forever.
