OK, Now that I've got my ADSL modem finally working, I'm looking for an extension cable to run around the wall (instead of across the floor, like it is at the moment). About 8-10m should do it. Anybody have a spare I can buy off them/swap for something? DSE has a 10m for $16.88 (RJ12-RJ12). Their BT extension cord is more expensive. I can use either BT(male)-BT(female) or RJ11/12-RJ11/12 (male-male). The other option is a 10m ethernet cable. The modem can go anywhere in between the phone jack and the computer.
Does any of that any sense? There is about 20m of wall between the jack and the computer. I have 10m BT phone extension cord, and need something to cover the next ten meters to the computer. The ADSL modem can be at the 1/2 way point or at the computer. Cheers, Carl.
