Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris are somewhat different from a kernel level, which we call 'ON' [OS Networking Consolidation]. OpenSolaris is based on the next release, which we call Project Nevada. So to get the latest and greatest code, you'll need to BFU or build the sources from opensolaris.org > I'm intending to fool around with Xen and OpenSolaris, just for the fun of > it ;) and see if I can't get my box running Linux, *BSD, OpenSolaris, Plan9, > VSTa and a few others that interest me, simultaneously. The ReactOS guys say > they want ReactOS to be stable before they port it to Xen. Yeah, that stuff looks pretty interesting. > > Glad it's working for you though :) > > Thanks. Fortunately it's an easy tweak to /etc/passwd ;) > Do you want to borrow my OpenSolaris cdrom set? Thanks for the offer - unfortunately I'm also drowning in CD's here, although haven't really had much of a chance to play with the latest and greatest code in trying to get our JDS code out the door.
