Yes!! Or take the battery out altogether, though some stupid lappie constructions then can no longer be turned on. Batteries count as consumables, and the cost of those is never advertised by anyone. Ask before you buy! Li-Ion is particularly bad and expensive. Twice the price for half the performance and heaps of trouble sums up laptops pretty well, all in the name of portability.
